It is used for both from what I understand. I did not make it, it was given to me and I use for massage oil, but from what I understand you can do many things with it.

i wanted to add something without stepping on any toes,but 1 of my daughters told me that someone told her to use it to get lice eggs out of the hair right after her oldest daughter startrd K she caught the lice and my daughter had h*ll getting them out then someone told her if she used this is easy she said just put it into the hair and the eggs will come out with the fine comb and it worked she keeps this around al the time

I have heard lots of things about this product. I know myself it worked on my teeth. In fact years later I had a dentist tell me that he could see in the x-ray that the tooth that had been abcessed had healed over, so that made me a believer.

I thought I had put that it is open and I used only a few drops out of it. I went back in and put that. This is sort of thing you want to have on your medicine shelf.

I was trying to answer about whether you could use this for medicinal reasons, I was thinking this was for the jojoba oil I also have listed. I use tea tree oil for medicinal purposes only, definitely not for smelling oil. It is medicinal. I have actually used it in the past to treat gum infections, a tooth that was giving me problems, and actually had good results from it. It is very potent. Probably would be a good idea to look up online to see what all you can use it for.
