Questions & Comments
you still have to draw in the features, etc. with icing.the shaped pan, with it's 3-D just gives you a "pre-drawn" image to go by. check wilton.com and see if if they have a sugar topper that has the pattern already colored and everything. you can it with a regular cake pan. just peel it off the backing sheet and apply to the top of the cake. this is much easier than using a pan--and storing it--when she will want something else next year. these pans are not as easy to use as you might think. I have had cake decorating lessons and done it, so I know.
oh my goodness, I NEED this!! My daughter's birthday is on the 15th, and she is a major Pokemon freak (in a good way, LOL)!! :o) It would be nice to have a shaped pan instead of me trying to draw something in icing that vaguely resembles a Pikachu... some have our gifts, and that is NOT one of mine- LOL :o)
I showed this to my daughter yesterday, and she really really wants it! :o) But WOW is it at a LOT of points right now :o( Good for you!!! :o) I'm keeping my fingers crossed though that I can find enough credits to get it for my sweetie :o)
