Questions & Comments
Fun? In kind of a morbid way, I suppose. I suspect that you were not alive when this incident occured. For this generation, it was just as defestating as the 911 tragety. I remember a boy in my third grad class proclaiming, after the announcement was made in the cafeteria about the shooting (before we knew JFK had died), "Wow, isn't it cool Kennedy was shot!" He instatndly became the target of "if looks could kill"-type stares and jeers. An American tragity along the lines of the Lincoln assasination. I would be interested in owning this to the same extent that I have inheirted a photo of my grandfathers from his army days in Texas during WW1, of a lynching. As author and philosopher George Santayana has been quoted as saying, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." Your listing certainly has my attention.
Iam an avid history buff and a HUGE fan of JFK although I was not around yet when he was assinated, I have the newspaper from his election the inaugragation and one fromTX from the shooting the will be awesome for my collection. Fanned and watching.
