large harness for a larger dog. New. My dog only wore it 4 times. It is very easy to put on. I bought it at Petsmart. Strong nylon with black plastic snaps that buckle into each other.

I'm interested but how large is large, my puppy is 8 months old and weighs about 40 lbs now but will get bigger. She is a pit bull mix!

I'm glad you wrote I bought it for a collie and it was just a bit too big. Big enough that when I would walk her, I am in a wheel chair so she would walk behind me. She would wiggle out of it. I do believe it would be very big for a pit I then went and got her these special harness that is all padded and has a handle on it they are pretty new on the market maybe 2 or 3 years. It coast $40 It would be perfect. My dog trainer had them for her pits hope that helps

I called my old trainer and she said the harness she uses on her pits is called the "comfort Flex Harness she gave me the web site I'll send it in a minute".

I had a single focused older collie who did not like going for walks. I put the harness on her and I would keep my wheel chair on as slow as it would go. she would walk behind me until she figured how to wiggle out of the harness and go sit down. I'd be holding on to the leash with no dog.. So if she could get out of it your pit can also. I think this would be good for a full size lab for a dog about 75 lbs. I called my old trainer and asked what kind of harness she uses on her 2 pits. they are "COMFORT FLEX HARNESS". she got them from a web site www. K9conversation.com. They are all padded so it is soft on their arm pits plus it has a built in handle for you to hold or you can click on a leash as well. Good Luck

As I mentioned I had a collie and she wiggled her way out. She weighed 60 lbs. I feel this harness will fit a 71 pound and up. I am sure a 22 pound will be too small. I advertized it as large and I guess people are use to tiny or med size dogs. I'm use to large and huge.
