Alright but sorry to "knit pick" but this particular coin, the Elizabeth II halfpenny pre decimal was minted and issued between the years 1954-1970. I do, in fact have a 1970 issue and i can insure you it is far from fake.

2 uncirculated/ hardly used coins from the pre decimal era of the UK.......So are they uncirculated or used?

Thank you.

In my non professional opinion i would say uncirculated. In order, to prevent any complaint i have hedged my bets and also stipulated they are hardly used. I received them in good faith, they are uncirculated. I do not think i could be more honest.

Thank you....but sorry to say that there is a pretty big difference. But either way you are covering your behind so I get that.

Also for the years of them.....""The first circulation issue UK halfpenny
was minted in 1806, and the last in 1967"". So you might want to check on that or just edit that. If you have a 1970 that would be fairly cool to see and then look to see how good the fake was....*lol*

Sorry to knit pick and all but just figuring out what is what though.

Thank you.

I apologize. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halfpenny_(British_pre-decimal_coin)
They were produced till 1967....then they produced a 1970 issue coin that were part of sets.

I was on a coin sight that said they were only made until 1967. But using Wikipedia now shows me more about them. Not sure why the 1970 coin wasn't even mentioned till doing more research on it. But I guess there was no 68 or 69 coin made then.

Thank you for pointing it out and I would think the 1970 ones might be more valuable if they were only in sets originally.

Yea i have the 1970 set, never knew it existed myself until last year so bought it as a birthday present for myself. 1967 so the last offical issue of LSD but coins in '68 and '69 were struck with 1967 to prevent collectors hoading them ( that obviously didnt work out to well lol) 1968 also the introduction of what was to become the 5p and 10p coins in 1971.
