This is a great wildflower plant that is hardy, easy to grow. It tolerates heat and drought very well.
It is a profuse bloomer and will create small mounds of bright yellow flowers that will flower all summer long. Flowers are followed by a three ‘pronged’ seed reminiscent of a birds foot. It dies down in winter and returns from the same taproot the following spring.
Bird’s foot Trefoil has a large taproot and very strong root system .. It is a hardy plant and can live as long as thirty years!
Prepare your spot for planting and water. Sow your seeds about 6" apart. Barley cover with soil and water again. Mist around every other day until they sprout,7-14 days. Then water as needed. The next year in the spring you can take a spade or shovel and dig a clump out with the roots intact and plant in other areas. They will range from 6-8" tall

Just leave the original plants. If you decide you would like to have more plants in different places. you can use a spade, dig a little of the plants making sure you have some of the roots and plant where you want. They come back every year. I like to use a rooting hormone. It's called rRoot Ting. They have it as Lowes for $6.00 it goes a long way and can save a lot of money in the long run. You can root most plants trees and bushes with it.

These come back every year. you can easily divide for more areas and save the seeds also
