The listing, WHITE TREE ROSE OF SHARON, 100 SEEDS has ended.
This auction is for a generous 100+ White Tree Rose Of Sharon Seeds. It is a member of the Hibiscus family and very versatile and easy to grow. The seeds come from my own trees.. They can grow to 12 feet if you would love them for a privacy fence. Prune after the flowers quit blooming in late the fall to your desired height. You can grow them in pots for your patio or you can prune to a single stem. As you can see in one of the pictures I have some in the shade and some in the sun. The shady was thin the first year. I pruned it to bush in an area where it was hard to grow anything ! They are thriving in both conditions. I like to start now in trays and then transfer where I want them in the spring. A little water is all they require. They will have a great start and be well established by spring. A sunny window or room is great. You can wait and plant the seeds directly in the ground.. I would mulch the first year. They are not picky about soil. They thrive in any condition. Our weather in Tn is very unpredictable, but can count on these to be beautiful every year. I never water the trees along a fence row it seems to make no difference to them through hot humid summers. You will have beautiful trees, plants or bushes for many years to come. You can also root very easy buy just planting a branch in the soil with some rooting hormone added or root in a container of water. The trees can also be transplanted any where you would like. Germination is 10 weeks or less. They are a beautiful fast grower requiring little care. To start early, wet your soil in pots or trays. Soak your seeds overnight. Plant a few seeds in the pot and cover with 1/2" soil. Mist daily until they sprout. Then as needed. You can save your own seeds at the end of the blooming season when the pods turn brown. Store in a paper bag.
