Let me say this first so you understand the only problem with this item is that I do not have the power supply. It came up missing. I did find one on-line for 1.99 so it is not a huge deal but you will need to see if you have one around your home or buy one. The Adapter is 5V 1A with the symbol of a line above three dots between the 5v and the 1a. It is a barrel connector. Yes it worked fine the last time that I used it so you should have no problem with a new power supply.
With that said this is a great scanner it works with or without a PC. You put a SD card into the scanner and scan away it stores to the SD card you can use the card to share with family and friends or take to a photo processor and have copies made of the photos. It will scan Film, Negatives, Photos, and Un Mounted Slides. Most families have tons of negatives and would love to have them converted to digital but it is way too expensive then this is the answer.
