I will have to check on that as I am not positive of the zones...I am considered 9, I must say that my hibiscus are very hardy, we just went thru close to 30 degree mark here in southwest florida- I covered my plants and there was not a brown spot anywhere and they are both carrying many blooms...I'll have to get back to you on the zones...

Hibiscus is reliably hardy in zone 4, a little extra protection for zone 3. Where the ground freezes in certain areas around Thanksgiving hibiscus can be cut back to about 12 inches and then heavily mulched. Hibiscus is one of the hardiest and rewarding plants that you can have. Here in S.W. Florida we have had some cold temperatures in the last month (in the thirties) , I just cover mine with a sheet and the slips that I will be sending are from those very same plants.

My hibiscus are very hardy and always producing blooms. We are going thru a cold snap in these next few days (I am just north of Ft. Myers, Fl and south of Sarasota,fl), my plants are covered with a sheet and as they have done before, they will come out fine.
