The listing, BEAUTIFUL ! ROSE OF HEAVEN, ( CAMPION ) 20 SEEDS PERENNIAL has ended.
Rose of Heaven commonly referred to as moss campion. It grows to 30 inches tall with a narrow, upright growth habit of light-green foliage and tall stalks topped by clusters of small, bright-pink flowers. Silene orientalis grows easily from seed, but it is best to start the seeds indoors eight weeks before the last frost in spring to ensure that the plant will mature in the summer.
They are a Perennial so pick a good spot.
Fill 2-1/2-inch peat pots with soil. Make one peat pot for each Silene orientalis plant. Place the pots on a nursery flat before sowing the seeds.
Poke a 1/8-inch-deep planting hole for the Silene orientalis seeds. Sow one seed in each peat pot, barely covering them with soil. Press the surface of the soil to help anchor the seed.
Moisten each peat pot with four or five squirts of water from a spray bottle. Avoid saturating the peat pots; they are fragile and might split open.
Place the plastic dome lid of the nursery flat over the peat pots to keep the Silene orientalis seeds warm and the air around them humid. Place the nursery flat near a source of very bright light but little direct sunshine, such as close to an east-facing window.
Remove the domed lid once a week for watering. Water the seeds with four or five spritzes from a spray bottle. Replace the domed lid after watering.
Look for signs of germination in seven to 10 days. Remove the plastic lid once the seeds sprout, and continue to water them once a week with the spray bottle.
Plant the peat pots out in a sunny or partially shaded bed once the seedlings are 3 to 4 inches tall with a set of mature leaves. If you would like to wait until after your last frost. pick your spot and water. Place your seeds where you would like them to be. Cover with 1/16" of soil and mist with water. Continue to mist daily until they sprout and then as needed. Thanks for your intrest in my auction and please email with any questions. I mail the next day after win.
