wall mounted bottle opener in the shape of a Bearhead. Very hold no idea what year this was made, we have had it for 20+ years.

awesome... we used to have it hanging in our home but since we went back to living in apartments, it just doesn't fit and I would like it to go to someone who has a place for it and loves this sort of antiquity.

There are no markings on it that I could find, and it is Cast Iron if you don't mind me answering two questions in one.

I think this is more likely to be a wolf. it looks like cast aluminum or possibly pewter. do you know what type of metal it is? does it have a makers mark anything else on the back?

trust me when I say, it is a bear, and it is cast iron. There are no markings that I can see on the back or inside the hollow of the head, I have looked very close.
