I don't have much knowledge of jewelry, but this is a fake gold necklace. It looked very real until I stored it out in the porch, within a jewelry box, and the humidity ate away at some of the gold tone. It's still beautiful, but I figure that someone else knows what to do to get it colored and perfect again. A small letter P is circled in the back as a type of branding. The P is not visible right now, but has been seen in other jewelry that I bought with this one. The original chain is included. Everything is exactly as pictured.
