The listing, LQQK! Gorgeous (or Ugly?) Genuine Mink Fur Hat - You Decide! has ended.

I'm giving away a genuine mink fur hat. It's mostly dark brown mink fur, with two sections of blond mink fur for accent.

My ex-husband gave this hat to me, and I honestly never wear it because it's not really my style (plus, it reminds me of him, and I would rather not be reminded of him). He told me that it's real mink fur. I can tell that it is genuine mink because: 1. the fur has a gorgeous, glossy sheen to it, 2. the fur lays flat, 3. the fur is short to medium-sized length, 4. the fur is super soft and silky, even when I run my fingers across it against the grain. This is an extremely high-quality warm mink fur hat, and I'm sure that it will make someone else very happy. Just not me. So, I'm giving it away! There are no tags inside the hat. The inside is quilted and cushioned.

It's approximate measurements are:

Inside circumference = 21" (but, I have a 22.5" round head, and it fits me just fine, so it stretches a little bit). I took a measuring tape around my eyebrows and above my ears to come up with the 22" measurement.
Back = 5" long (from top of hat to bottom of hat's back).
Front = 4 1/2" long (from top of hat to bottom of hat's back).
The back and front measurements were measured with the fur included in the length. I think that it would best fit someone who has a small or medium-sized head.

It comes from a smoke-free, hairy pet-free home. I have a snake and gecko, but they can do no harm. :)

Thanks for your sweet comment. I was a little sad after the first comment. I mean, I'm giving up a genuine, high-quality mink hat for goodness sake. I could probably sell it on a certain popular auction site for a bit of $, but I decided to give it away here instead for free. Honestly, I'm not sure why someone would jump on an auction just to make a negative comment on it when s/he isn't really interested in the item. This hat is obviously not for everyone, including the person who left the negative comment. I can just tell it's not her style from her profile pic; she's not the glamorous, fashionable type. It's not that I'm trying to bad-mouth her (it's not really my style either), but it really takes a certain kind of woman to pull off this hat.

I am a buckskinner (as you can see below from my profile picture of my grandson wearing his grandpa's coyote hat) & our group would love this. Don't mind this person commenting. I think she gets off on making fun of others & saying negative things about their auctions. i've seen some of her comments on others' auctions & I'm not impressed with her. You can always flag her or block her & you won't have to deal with her negativity. It's just a matter of time before she's blocked altogether anyway with her attitude. great auction. i'm eagerly watching 7 good lock 7 God bless.

Oh, wow! So, you know good quality fur when you see it! Well, then, I really, really hope that you win this (you will probably do wonders with it). I thought about blocking her, not because of her negative comment, but because I was reading her feedback and she is apparently very hard to please - she has left negative or neutral feedback to sellers in the past when it is apparent that she failed to read the auction's description, and that last thing that I want is negative feedback! I will everything in my power to avoid it, including blocking difficult buyers. Again, I'm not trying to bad-mouth her and cause problems, but the facts stand for themselves. Honestly, I try to leave all comments up (even negative ones) so that other bidders/sellers get to know who they are dealing with.

I know I was taken back by that childish behavior and had to pick up your chin! This is an absolutely fabulous hat! I have a small head and have to have hats made custom for me. I will have to measure my head, although it will match my jacket I don't know if I could pull it off, but I'm watching. luck on whatever you win on listia this week !!

Thanks! You really did make me feel better about it. :) I thought, "Gee, maybe this is a stupid listing." But, the fact of the matter is that it takes me a lot of time to put up a listing (since I like to measure everything, describe everything, and take the nicest possible pictures that I can). So, I really didn't want to take it down. Plus, Listia decided to feature this auction, which means that it can't be that bad! So, now I'm not going to take it down.

I rarely hide comments because I like to see how ppl treat each other on Listia, so I know who I should interact with. I figure that other ppl might be the same way, and they might want to see who they should deal with and who they shouldn't. Does that make any sense? For example, if I go to one of your auctions and I see a bidder harassing you for no reason, I'm going to remember that bidder (definitely not fan the person) and possibly block him or her in the future. Plus, it's wasn't that bad of a comment (I thought that it was kind of random and funny, especially for a first comment). I fanned you back! I hope that you win it :)

If you do not agree that this is genuine mink fur (even though I know that it is), I will gladly refund your credits as soon as I receive the hat back from you in its original new condition. But, please be aware that this hat will drive 99.9% of dogs and 95% percent of cats crazy! Even the most docile dog's natural instincts will kick in when she sees this fur hat, & she will tear it apart (dogs love mink fur and sometimes faux fur....they just can't help it). So, please keep the hat in a box in a safe area. If you return it to me torn up & ruined, I will not agree to a credit refund (obviously). I love dogs & cats (truly, I do), but this hat is like their ultimate dream chew toy.

This hat is not for everyone. It takes a certain kind of woman of discriminating tastes to pull it off. Basically, if a lady likes the finer things in life (like fur coats, diamonds, and pearls), then she will probably love this hat. Like I said, it's not really my style. But, there is a certain kind of James-Bondesque sexy type woman out there who would look amazing in it (I have a more of a lazy urban chic look, although I have a weakness for sparkly things).

Yeah... I really do feel bad for the little guy(s). But, to be honest, I didn't actually buy it. It was given to me by my ex (I wouldn't pay a retailer for a fur...anything. I just love animals too much). That's just me personally, though. It's not like I think it's morally wrong to do so or have anything against people who do so. I have had two ferrets and a bunny, and I loved them so much that I can't imagine buying fur directly from a high-end store. I'd rather put my money elsewhere.

My dad used to trap mink and beaver. I would have liked a mink hat when I was younger. I think it is cool. Not so sure that I can pull off the "look" now. Good luck on your auction!

Thanks! :) I would be the worst hunter ever. I would trap them, then try to feed them, and then set them free. When I was really little, my parents bought a live lobster and decided to cook it for dinner. I, apparently, threw a HUGE temper-tantrum because I didn't want them to cook the lobster. I wanted them to set it free (which, I now know, would be incredibly impractical for them to do when the ocean was 4 hours away from us, but try telling that to an incredibly stubborn 3-year old). They never did it again (I think that they probably figured out that it wasn't worth the headache).

Yeah, I decide to try to turn something kind of negative into a positive the best way that I could. I fanned you back! Yeah, I'm kind of lazy....For example, I love the store Buckle, but I have banned myself from going in there because all of their stuff is SO expensive (plus, now that I'm older, I'm too lazy to go to the mall). I'm proud to say that I don't think I have ever bought anything from the store, even though when I go in there I want just about everything. Oh my goodness! I didn't hide the first comment, I swear! I usually do not hide any comments, unless I think that they will blatantly hurt my auction, for some reason. I don't even hide negative comments (even if they are personally attacking me....even though I haven't encountered any of those yet, thank goodness). Like I said before, I like all Listia members to see who they are dealing with (in terms of bidders and sellers) and judge for themselves what kind of person he or she truly is, if that makes any sense. At any rate, the first comment said the exact same thing as the second comment.
