The listing, ♥ 45-80 Carats ♥ "Apache Tears" Obsidian Crystals ♥ .75 - 1 inch ♥ has ended.
Hold them up to the sun and you'll know why they're gem quality ☺
The Legend is based upon an actual confrontation between Pinal Apaches and the US Cavalry in the 1870s. Avenging raids on local settlements, members of the UCavalry and a host of volunteers launched a surprise attack on the Apaches on what is now known as Apache Leap. Some 50 or so Apaches were killed in the first round of shots and the remaining 25 or so rode their horses or jumped over the cliff to their deaths rather than be captured or killed by the US Cavalry
The Apache women gathered near the base of the mountain and wept for their lost brothers, husbands and sons and their tears fell into the bleached sands and hardened upon hitting the ground
→ "Apache Tears" is the trade name for rounded shapes of black obsidian rock glass
→ In prehistoric times they were believed to have been used as amulets
→ It has been a healing stone of native Americans for thousands of years.
→ Purported in modern day literature they are commonly used to help during the grieving process, with indigestion as well as stomach and intestinal problems and even cure stomach ulcers
