I won a psp 1000 for 20000 and it looked perfect and it had that problem. had to send it back and this guy is giving no guarantee so I would like to know before I bid. I contacted a repair shop and they quoted me $60 to fix, mite as well buy a new one.

all psp should connect to internet without a problem unless the motherboard has problems the wifi connection in a psp is pretty basic easy repair if not working

@Jason -- your question "which model" -- answer is 1000 as opposed to 2000 or 3000 And the refurbished 1000 goes for $89.99 here at GameStop. FYI

IT WORKS!!! in fact, it works fine. I was able to check it out with a USB cable and it not only power right up but has a 32Mb Memory stick that has 11Mb free -- haven't figured out what is on the memory stick but I'm sure one of you will be able to tell. And since the bidding has gone over 1000 I will pick up the tab for Priority Mail. Happy bidding!! ; )
