it's totally faux - dark mahogany "plastic" - the glass isn't glass but "plastic" - the base is "plastic" - even the little silver snowflake is "plastic" & yes it's from "made in china,it does play:i wish u a merry christmas & happy new year, on a regular normal whine up it goes 7/8 times. ....as is. ...as is. ..as is. ...
