T he Columbine is a pretty, and very easy plant to grow. Best of all, count on them to be back next year ! A beautiful mix of all colors. Reseeds easily. Zones 4-8. hardy. Above that may require more watering. These are 2 to 2-1/2 foot tall plants Seed outdoors April to July. Seed indoors in February or March for earlier plants.
Wet the soil in your flats or pots. press in seeds 1/16" deep. Mist with water and cover with a plastic top or plastic wrap. Mist lightly every day until they sprout. Leave the covers off and water as needed. The same instructions for outdoor planting, ONLY i COVER MY SEEDS WITH 1/16TH INCH OF SOIL TO KEEP THE BIRDS FROM GETTING THEM !.
