When you say yarn ball, do you mean this is one long strip (sewn together) that can be used as yarn? it looks like a quilted ball in the pic, so I just want to be sure.

Thanks for your interest!

It is a ball of fabric strips that are 41 inches long each - not yet sewn together....total length would be 63 yards. Not everybody sews them together - there are other methods of connecting them. And, maybe not everybody would want to use one continuous strip of that fabric either, but prefer to mix it up!

What would you make with these strips - a fabric basket?

I don't crochet so I don't know how much can be done with this amount of yardage....but this kind of fabric yarn is used for coasters, placemats, baskets, tabletoppers, bath mats, etc.

This is so interesting and, I guess, the new in thing. I was looking at a pattern last week to crochet a bag with this type of upcycled t-shirts. Is this fabric cut with the grain or on the bias?

You're right! It is the new "in-thing"!

These strips are cut selvedge to selvedge, and not on the bias.
