I did some research on this. Turns out its 1920's and was designed by the sons of E.F. Bowman the celebrated pocket watch design pioneer, it can of course be fixed and may be one of the missing deluxe models.

All though it is very similar to its cheaper but no less stylish cousins at the time, the 1920's Illinois Watch Co. version. This is starting to look like an Only Fools episode... peace everyone
