"No one is as good at stripping bare the dark desires of the inhuman soul as Laurell K. Hamilton, something she has proven time after time in her New York Times bestselling Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter novels. Now, in Incubus Dreams, Anita's life is more complicated than ever, as she is caught between her obligations to the living and the undead.

A vampire serial killer who preys on strippers is on the loose. Called in to consult on the case, Anita fears her judgment may be clouded by a conflict of interest. For she is, after all, the consort of Jean-Claude, the ever-intoxicating Master Vampire of the City. Surrounded by suspicion, overwhelmed by her attempts to control the primal lusts that continue to wrack her as a result of her passionate contacts with vampires, werewolves, and the shapeshifter Micah, Anita does something unprecedented: She calls for help."

shipping for 1 book is about $2.45 for 1st class. I sent out many books.

I usually have to pay around $4 at the post office to ship the books with a delivery confirmation. The total can range anywhere from $3.50 to $3.95 or more depending on the zip code I'm sending to and the size of the book (this one has 733 pages). On my last two book auctions, I combined shipping fees for the books so the buyer only had to pay $4. I tried media mail but it is so slow and with the confirmation it doesn't seem to be that much cheaper. I usually offer free shipping but it gets real expensive fast. If there is a better way to get around these costs, I'm game. Please advise...

You can use you p.o. receipt as proof you sent it. It will have the date and zip on it and Listia accepts it (they have for me). It seems the dc is what slows them down not using media mail.

FYI... if it fits in the small Flat Rate Priority Mail Box it will ship for 4.95. If you are mailing "media mail" slow shipping time shouldn't matter to the buyer bc it's cheaper and the buyer will understand that its that type. Try parcel post--get a food scale that will help with knowing the weight of shipping oz before you log on to usps.com, it's a very helpful website :D It helps that my p-office has a 24/7 automated shipping center too. And here's another thot...It's cheaper to pay the 3.00 shipping that the $8+ cash at the store for the book! LOL! F'd & W'n :D

I read a lot & just can't afford to buy books at the store, lol plus give free shipping on all my auctions (which I do). Your rate of $3 is much better, you don't have to get fancy wrap it in plastic & use a brown paper bag to wrap.
