Mushroom earrings, handmade and handpainted by yours truly. :) I used beads from a H-I-D-E-O-U-S necklace I picked up at the thrift store...including the wavy beads that make the caps. Pic does the colors no justice AT ALL...I did my absolute best to capture the true colors of the mushrooms found in nature. The beads just screamed MUSHROOM CAPS to me, and when I googled "mushrooms with wavy caps" I found out it was a species called "Psilocybe cyanescens" - and it's hallucinogenic..THAT explains why I've seen them on posters and postcards in the hippie record store... and so...here they are...my magic mushroom earrings. :) I actually wore these a few times myself, and decided I am far too clumsy to wear large earrings like these, so I am offering up my art for you! The best part: because I am kind of a snob about my jewelry, I made these earrings with STERLING SILVER ear wires, jump rings, and pin holding the beads together!

NOTE: I do NOT condone the eating of any kind of mushroom you don't get at the supermarket...this is artistic jewelry only. The photo I found from Google that inspired the earrings is shown on the right...this photo is not included in the auction, nor are any 'shrooms. Hehe. It is there to give a better idea of the color on the earrings, cuz my phone camera is crappy. LOL.
