The proxy bidding is because if you look on the lower right side under "Bid History" the current high bidder (joycehurst) placed the initial first bid on this auction on January 18th for xxx amount of credits.

She (or he for that matter, not wanting to step on toes of bidders here!!) may have bid something like 500 on their first bid and the auctions first bid on January 18th at 2:48pm (the time and day are listed on the right) and then you saw the auction and you were obviously interested so you saw that the auction was at 100 credits and it would have had one bid, this is how proxy bidding works -- since "joycehurst" bid say, 500 (an example only -- I have no clue what they bid) on their first bid and the auction's first bid but the bidding will stay at 100 since that's the starting bid until someone else bids... so just this evening at 5:52pm you bid 107, then two minutes later at 5:54pm you bid 109, then at 5:57pm you bid 200, but since "joycehurst" has theoretically bid 500 or xxx or maybe xxxx (would be awesome!) they are still the high bidder because the proxy bidding is in effect until someone bids 501 if we are going with the example that "joycehurst" has actually bid 500.
