from looking at it the way it looks like dvi-m to vga-f i dont think it works like vga to dvi but it is a nice piece for the ones that have a dvi port that they like to use as vga...

yeah its vga-m in dvi-m out you put vga in to dvi out or dvi out to vga in. I have put it dvi out to vga monitor. and also put vga out to dvi monitor. in the past. you just want get all the dvi efects like if it was true dvi. I truely couldnt tell any diffrence.some more techinal persone knows what the diffrence is but i couldnt tell any diffrence. in what I do. just like hdmi it looks like dvi but it carries the sound with it .not sure on all that.Thanks for looking good luck.
