yes it does it's like a grain. Some people like to feed it to birds or smaller animals

It should so long there isn't any frost. This would have to be restarted every year if there is frost.But that is easy to do. When the brown spikes are full and start to lighten up then cut , then hang to dry. just make sure to hang it over something to catch the seed if they fall out. And some people feed this spikes to there birds and small animals. I hope i helped you with this ? good luck and happy bidding and god bless
