Luv that yr raising awareness. So many dont understand. Alot of time I cant bring her to the store cuz of her behavior. She has a high functioning DX also from her Phych Dr. I think she is more aspergers than the PDD-NOS. I wondering if you know of a autism foundation that would test my 7 yr old and get a true DX. We brought her to a genetic Dr and she thought she had Aspergers. We live in Knoxville. So if you have any ph # would greatly appreciate it. It has been a great struggle since she has other DX: Epilepsy, ODD, Mood disorder, Adhd, MR (mild retardation; educationally) which is now called ID (intellectual deficet)
Thank You!!

yes, my kids got all their diagnoses done at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. I would suggest starting with an appmnt with Dr. Arie Nettles. She will test and evaluate the direct you from there. It is a 3 appointment series, so you may have some traveling to do, but well worth it.

Thanks. Have you heard of the foundation, Joni and friends. Its a great contact that I received at church. We had a visiting preacher teaching about have a ministry for disabled people but esp families with children. Joni and friends do a family vacation, it sounds like great fun and there is scholarships.

Where is Vanderbilt? Is it done by a phychologist? Do u know if Ins covers it?
