Vintage Circa late 1950's Beautiful Moriage Japanese 2- Piece Ceramic Tea Set in a style known as “Brown Betty” Iridescent Redware, in Excellent Gently Used Condition. The Tea Pot stands about 6" tall with lid X 7" wide from spout to handle and is marked MADE IN JAPAN on the bottom.The Pitcher is about 6&1/2" tall X 5" wide from spout to handle.
The pieces are Meticulously Hand Decorated in a Floral Pattern with Raised Red, White & Blue Enamel and embellished with Gilded Gold Leaf and a highly reflective brown glaze.
The Gilded Florals sparkle in shiny Gold, especially when brightly lit or viewed in sunlight.
