i wanted to make sure i answered your question correctly, so i did some searching on disney site, and finally found the answer (i just wanted to be sure!)! i am just going to copy and paste what i found, and here it is:

Disneyland® Resort
The Disney Gift Card can be used throughout Disneyland ® Resort as a form of payment towards admission, hotel stays, tours, merchandise and dining at participating locations.

so, yes you sure can use it towards admission!!
