I really love the designs definately unique. These are the first and only time Ive seen designs like these.I bought it when I very first started wanting to do some art for my house but I started doing my own designs and started showing my own art so I never used it. How did you know about Art Nouveau to do your house in? Ive never seen before

Well, I love art history. Even though my house was built in early 1800s and artnouveau is popular from the 1920s; I just thought that Greek Revival and Art Nouveau would look great together. Just me and my crazy ideas. I have the window panes all around the oversized door way and I think some lovely stained glass is in order to soften the house a bit. There are a few other areas where I think the stained glass would go well. I really think it will soften the appearance and yet not take away from the original. I am also thinking of doing raised releaf (spelling may be incorrect) over a few of the fireplaces. Some have the original raised wood releaf and then some are rather plain. If you have any suggestions, please, comment. Send me a messge at my home wall. I am very open.

I didnt know art nouveau was from a time period especially from that early.I learn so much from everyone on here lol. There is stained glass pictures in the book, maybe thats why, because of the houses back then. I look at alot of Interior design books n magazines if I see anything interesting I will definately let you know. I will take another look in the book to see if I see anything

When my greek revival home was built (early 1800s) everything was quite plain in comparison to the homes built in the early 1900s. When my house was built it was a big deal to have the rooms in the el positions. One section facing north, one facing west and one section on the east. It is like 3 / 2story homes abutting. Then in the early 1920s they moved the kitchen (separate building) up to the home and enclosed one of the back porches to make a breezeway between the two houses. The house is untouched except for a bathroom added on in the breezeway and plumbing added to the kitchen and heating. The windows, walls, floors are all original. We are trying to keep as much as possible but yet it is too plain. I want the art nouveau style graphics added to walls, windows and I am making drapes from some fabrics I found online. This books has the stencils though and I have been trying to draw my own. So, thank you for listing :-)

It all sounds amazing and very interesting. Its really wonderful how your home has so much history and character. Its really great that your so educated on its history I think it will be more amazing that your going to add to it instead of over look its era. It really suprises me when I list something that fits so perfect into someone elses life. This has happened before,it feels like certain items were put on for certain people it always amazes me. If you dont win this book for some reason,I will send you the information to find it online. Best Wishes and Have fun on your home
