I am a long time seller, both here and other sites, and Media Mail is always cheaper for these type of items. The rate goes by weight and content only. It can only be used for Media Mail, and was designed to be cheaper. The previous comments regarding this is correct. The price will be for the weight of the shipment, and makes no difference the zip code, anywhere in the United States. It is absolutely the cheapest rate you will find for these items. Priority rates are based on weight, size of package and zipcode, and will vary depending on where it is shipped unless you use Flat Rate, which normally is more expensive. You will get much more response to your auction by offering Media Mail. With the cost of postage, this is a huge factor in bidding today. I have over 2000 completed auctions on this site alone, so I am absolutely certain of the information I have passed on to you. Good luck with all your auctions.
No I put exact in case people win more than one. Media mail could cost more. I do priority mail. If it's just one, It'll be $5.35, more would probably be $11.35 combined. All 8 would be $15.45 combined. These are USPS pricing.
Thank you for your reply, but priority is never the cheapest way to ship dvd's in the U.S.. Even at your $5.35 stated price to another member's comment, you could ship all 8 seasons for about that media mail. When you go into USPS to get a shipping quote, go to the first class and others option. From zip 12144 (Rensselaer, NY) to me 47374 would be $2.47 media for one and an 8 lb box (aprox for all 8 seasons with box & packaging weight) would be $5.39. Then charge .80 cents ( may have went up with recent rate change) for delivery confirmation. Priority is just to high for this type of item, but if you change your mind and can ship media, I'll be bidding high. I use to what this show religiously and would love to get back into it, just can't afford high shipping for them.
I realize how thick they are as I have owned several seasons in the past and each disc inside is incased inside a thick hard clear plastic. It really doesn't matter how wide they are. If you go in and calculate using a Large package, it's still cheaper media mail than a small flat rate box priority is. You should check with your post office if in doubt.;)
