Beautiful ring! Stamped 925. The stone might be a ruby (not sure) I was told this is a genuine stone by the person who gave it to me. I recieved this as a gift but does not fit. It has been sitting in my jewelry box ever since. Was going to give it to my daughter but it wont fit her either, so I am giving it away on here! I think the size is the standard size 7 (?)
It is very pretty, would be perfect for Valentines Day gift!

The stone looks like it is a garnet (January birthstone). Rubies usually aren't a dark red in color.

It may be but I don't think it is because it doesn't seem to be as dark as a garnet. It is pretty red. But like I said in the posting, I'm not sure what it is, but it is really pretty. :)

Well it maybe it is not a ruby, Like I said I'm not sure what it is.and some lab created stones are set in silver or gold over silver...I know this because I have bought many peices like that.....I just know that it is not a rhinestone or a plastic stone, or something like that. I know it is pretty and red and it is a gem stone of some kind. What ever the stone may be......I know that someone would enjoy this as a gift or for themselves to wear. It is not getting any use sitting in my jewelry box.

I actually like the color of this stone more than the colors I typically see in either rubies or garnets. It's such a gorgeous red.
