When you open the lid the little screws are loose but do not come out and the lid opens and closes without any problems.
The box measures approximately 8 3/4 diameter and 2 3/4 inches high with the legs. There are eight of them.

They have a formula that does not allow you to fan people once you've reached 90% of the fans total you have. It's ridiculous. You should be able to fan anyone you want to, when you want. If enough people complain, maybe this rule can be changed.
