Can you tell me what are die cuts? i am new to all this

You know, I'm not perfectly sure how to describe them. They are basically pre-cut images of objects. Sort of like stickers, but printed on thicker paper and without the sticky back. You use them for scrapbooking using glue to attach them to the pages. Or so I'm told :-)
