Description

The listing, COINS PROOFS, QUARTER 1776-1976 AN 1969 S NICKEL!! has ended.

I had to remove the quarter for rim pic's, with gloves on.
i think this quarter is a silver clad proof. have had it so long i can not recall. so i got rim pics to post. there is no solid bimetal line on the rim, but there is some tone like colors on some of the rim...the quarter also has some imperfections. the nickel is near flawless.
the nickel is a 1969-s proof.
thanks to all !!

in the coin book called the official black book it is a price guide more or less, but it reads in part...there are 3 1976 s quartes..one is the copper-nickel clad proof, one is silver clad and then the 3rd one is silver clad proof.
in 1975 and 1976 the mint made special part-silver versions of the washington quarter/kennedy halfs/ and eisenhower dollar and were 40% silver. i need to look at another book..be back soon...lol

the 1st comment i made is a copy and paste from the net...just so everyone knows.
all i can say is that this quarter is a proof, and the edges are not bi-metal ( no brown ring around it ) however, there is some tone like color on some of the rim....i still can not recall where i got it...lol...but i will refund anyone's credits who wins and is not happy with this listing...thank you all for looking!!
