My Spiffer© is a refill you crochet out of 100% cotton yarn (recommended) and then machine wash and dry! You won't have to spend your cash on those expensive refills when you have Spiffers!

Sounds really cool! Do they work the same way as a swiffer? I mean, do they pick up the dust and hold it? Or are they like a feather duster? I want to make one of these! I bidded and fanned you. :)

What I do is use a duster spray on them. Of course they are not the same fabric as a swiffer, so it's very hard to say... the best advice I can give you to really know is to go pick up a ball of the yarn you intend to use, pull out a couple yards and ball it up, and run across a dusty area. I know that sounds silly, but it's the only real way I can answer your question! Hope that helps.

You are right. That's a good idea. These sound really cool ~ swiffers are so expensive now, and in this economy, every little bit helps.

Do you have a "Spiffer Mop" version? If so I would LOVE that one too!!!! I tried to make a pattern for mine but it went HORRIBLY wrong, lol!!!!
