No, not Bob Denver, stuck on an island.This "Li'l Buddy" was my pet bird through middle and high school. A Lutino Cockatiel, he was quite expressive both physically and verbally. He even learned how to call my dog.
Years later, while missing his whistle call and nibble on the ear, I created this pastel of him from some old photo. Every time I look at it, I can hear "pop goes the weasel" or a cat call in my mind. He had a few more songs. I wish I could have taught him more.
