Top is black and white marble engraved with chinese lettering in each square.. 2 drawers to hold marble chess pieces, lined with red velvet. outer lining is wood with engraving, No pieces missing, very beautiful set! It's very pretty! I love it! But I have a 5 year old who thinks it's a toy, it's no longer safe in my care.
