The listing, Garmin Nuvi 2360 GPS FOR PARTS ONLY has ended.
My daughter locked up the unit is Santa FE, NM while on vacation. Now if you happen to be in Santa FE area this would be a major score for you if you are willing to drive to the area of the hotel we were at when she locked it. It will only unlock around the location she locked it in which is 900 miles away from where I am. 1501 Paseo De Peralta Santa Fe is approximitly where she locked it. I never registered it so when I called garmin they needed proof of purchase "a receipt" which I was unable to find. If you have a receipt thats about 9 months old could probably pass it off then Garmin would unlock it for you? Other then that I am pretty much willing to say parts only. What you see in the pic is what you get. I have lost the cord, I plugged it in to my android phone cord to turn it on to prove it works.
Questions & Comments
there is a little reset button u need to press with a pin, turn it on then push the reset and hold the reset button and press the power button while holding the reset button. it will clear the lock
This Model does not have that option. TRUST ME! there is no reset "button" on the nuvi 2360 it does have a reset option which is to hold the bottom lower right of the screen as it is turning on it will prompt you to reset however this one will turn off when you select yet to reset then comes right back on wanting a pin. there is no little hole to put a needle in to reset on this unit.
yes I tried everything! this was when I purchased it over $200 I promise I tried and call and researched everything that is why I at this point give up and want it to go for parts if there able to be used that is?
there is a site that you can ask an expert from garmin how to fix this however they charge for the answer, they want $30, i don't know if you are interested in that, but here is the site just is case: http://www.justanswer.com
They would be correct if it's locked and the code is unknown. I believe this would require a complete re flashing of the EEPROM (manufacturer is the only one with the proper program). I can use some of these parts to fix another one that isn't locked.
