This is a great watch, It is a Timex indeglo Ladies Water proof watch. It does need a battery. You can take it to wal mart, k mart or a jewler to replace the battery . Very Cheap. This is the only kind of watch I will own they last forever. My Hubby bought me a new one for my anniversary and I don't need 2 of them .. Happy Bidrding
