Questions & Comments
Exactly. I'm a seller too every so often, of different varieties so I know how thin the line can be. On average I was seeing a $5 code go for about 175-190k with GIN about a month or two ago. I know for me personally, once it starts going above around 200k for $5 I start to move on to other auctions. Of course the GIN fee should be taken into account, don't get me wrong! But I see some listings right now for $5 at 300k, which I definitely agree is waaaaay too much!
Yeah, it is truly crazy how fast prices shift around here, and it can be really hard to keep up. I will definitely keep a closer eye on my auctions. Thanks for talking in a calm manner. It really helps!
You're welcome Goldenbtrfly! Again I wish the prices were even still a bit lower than this, but again, it's not just you, it's the whole market! So I'm with you too, SwisherSweet420247, we should let sellers know when they are clearly going way overboard with their GINS, in as fair and straightforward way as possible. That way hopefully we can work on getting the prices down overall, which means we as buyers get our codes, and sellers get their credits. Everybody wins!
Anbrew, you could not be more right. All the giftcard prices seem high, and as sellers its a hard job between not making enough to buy anything and seeming way too high to where business dries up.
What would you think the pricing should be at for these $5 itunes? Around the flat 200k range?
Prices are getting a litle cracy these days on listia. Some people sell gift cards for over 100k per dollar but people do not buy or GIN them. 30-40k per dollar sound reasonable but when it gets over 50k per dollar I move on Buyers should not just go cracy with their credits and bid 70 or 80k per dollar. Great Auction by the way.
