This Listing is for an Old Real Turtle Shell hand Beaded Medicine Pouch that has Been handed down many Time before. The Shell is very well taken care of so it has NO Split's nor Cracks in it at all. The whole foot is also present to represent the Strength of this Symbol, The Video will explain to You just how the Turtle has so much Strength as well as Power. The soft Doe Skin Leather is attached to the Shell of the Turtle for a Pouch to carry Medicine in and or Many Items. This is a extremely well made Piece of Native American Hand Work Art at it's Finest. The Bead work is so Beautiful and the Beads are all Glass. The inside is covered both sides, on the Beaded Flap as well as against the Shell. This way You can Carry whatever it is that You want to carry...Most Natives carried Their Herbs and Medicine and by that I am speaking of Stone and Feathers and Items that They used to Cure with....
This Handmade Native American Turtle Shell and Leather, Hand beaded Medicine Pouch measures as follows:
The Single Claw is 3-1/2 " by 3-1/2 " AND THE Fringe at the very Bottom is 5-1/2 ", The AWESOME Hand sewn Bead work is 9 " High By 7 " Wide and the Leather Cord is a Total of 50 " long by 1/2" thick. The Turtle Shell is 12 " high by 13 " wide. I hope I covered all of what is needed as far as measurements.
The Shell has been very well taken Care of but being it's been handed down I do ""NOT"" know if it ever was in an environment where Folks Smoked. I can tell You this, It has been Blessed as well as Smudged before Packing.

Yes they are very fierce & vicious if provoked..They can move fast & their necks are longer than most turtles..I stay out of the mud up here..lol..

Bawk bawk..mee too..One grabbed my paddle when I pushed off from a muddy bank in my kayak a few years ago here..I had to let go of the paddle & then wait for it to let go to get in back..It was pulling me all over the place..I was scared to stick my hand out to get it..JAWS..lol..Actually to safely handle it you have to grab it by the tail & hold it far away

Uh oh..no I could never harm a living thing that MOther Earth gives us..I spend a lot of time observing the wildlife here including sitting in trees trying to figure out how I am going to get down off them..Everything is here for a reason..I know a great computer guy too..sorry..jeez….I grew up on a California beach but preferred the mountains..I am sooo scared of the ocean but am an excellent swimmer..JAWS….

The video up here is very very beautiful..Turtles are so interesting & true survivors..Our box turtle lived thru our wildfire that burnt the house/barn/trees/yard down in California..He knew how to hide in the rock houses in the pond my Dad & I built..He lived another 30 years at my sister house in the life of luxury..Fire was started by lightning in the middle of the night & quickly spread with the strong winds even though we kept the property clear of dried brush it all went up in smoke..I got me, baby & pets out but the rest was gone..I was grateful we made it..Maybe I was a turtle in another life
