Songbirds in Snow
Forever 49¢ | Book of 20

$9.80 plus $1.25(S/H) = $11.05

The U.S. Postal Service® celebrates four songbirds that brighten cold winter days.

The Songbirds in Snow stamps each features one of four birds: the golden-crowned kinglet, the cedar waxwing, the northern cardinal, and the red-breasted nuthatch. Illustrator Robert Giusti painted the original designs in acrylic on canvas board, depicting each bird perched on a snow-covered branch. He and the art director chose these four birds for their color, attractiveness, and adaptability to the small format of a postage stamp.

:-)
Odysseygal2 : It is so refreshing to see you reply to SIMPLE QUERIES with so
much patience whereas some prominent Listian debarred ( BLOCKED ) me for
simply asking to confirm whether the stamp i was bidding for was damaged at
one corner or it was only a shadow in the photo...
Fanned and watching ;-)

Thank you, I try to keep up on the comments. I don't mind people asking questions. I think its important to know exactly what you are bidding on. My motto is the only stupid questions are the ones left unasked. :) Thanks for stopping by and checking out my listing. ^_^

That is what USPS.com charges for shipping /handling. I just like to post the actual cost of the item. Thank you for asking, I will clarify that a little better. :)

Okay, if you don't mind...another question. If $1 is equal to 27,500 credits, then why are you charging so much for 20 stamps? The price of a book of 20 stamps is $9.80 which if rounded up would be $10...(to make it easier)...so, $10 would be equal to 275,000 credits. And...550,000 would be double that. You are charging more than double what the price of stamps are. Perhaps you can explain this to me as maybe I am missing something (I don't sell stamps so I might not know something).

The book of stamps is $9.80 plus USPS charges $1.25 for shipping = $11.05. When I take the credits I get from the sale, Listia takes 10% off the GIN, and then another $20% off the sale of the credits. I profit less than $4 ( I decided to lower my GIN some)

Listia takes 10% off the GIN, and then another 20% when I sell the credits. I use the money to reimburse my PayPal acct for the purchase. I also have to wait 40+ days to sell the credits.

Ah...I have not heard of selling credits before. They pay you for your credits?

Yes, sorta, actually the users who purchase credits, Listia takes theirn 20% and then puts the remaining funds into a special Listia account, that then can be transferred to a Paypal acct. The ability to sell credits has not be released to ALL members yet.

I looked it up. I see where they take 20% but I do not see anything about 40 days. Also, it is "full" right now so I had to sign up to be on the waiting list.

I just looked and estimated wait time is 38 days at the moment.>_<

So...if someone clicks on purchase (or buy) credits, we are actually purchasing credits from people who are selling them? Or from Listia?
Feb 2nd, 2017 at 7:45:56 PM PST by
Original
Yes when you purchase credits, you are purchasing credits from the people who are selling them.. as we put in sell orders, they get put in line. and eventually our credits get sold. My oldest credit orders are from Jan. 12.

Am on Listia mainly for my hobby of "stamp collecting" and "making new friends";
the second being secondary & an added BONUS.
The former began when i was 11 ; the latter - my parents tell people & me - dates
back to "as soon as he ( meaning me ) learnt to talk and walk".
My association with USA began even before i was born; a maternal uncle stayed
on after education to become an American & marry another.
My cousin is an American by birth ;-)
