Size...3 1/4" long....1 1/8" at the bottom...1 1/4" at the top
I have no idea what was inside originally...I got them here & never used them.
I don't believe they would snap or break off easy...You would have to MAN HANDLE it or cut it for it to break...And they open just fine using my thumb to push up on the tab.
Again I do not know how old they are but they are in good condition.
