It works great & I'm now just using instant coffee & that works fine for just Me (I'm the only one in My household that drinks coffee) the only bad thing is I can't find the papers that came with it, I will keep looking & I'll find.

Hi babyboysmom, no it does not. how to use a coffee press You first put in ground coffee for 1 or 2 cups/mugs & then add hot water(1-2 cups/mugs) now You can lightly & slowly stir( do not hit the glass ) put on the top of press, in 2-3 min We have good fresh coffee, now pour & enjoy. This is good on cold & wintertime mornings. PS, you tube has some great videos on hot to use a coffee press.
