real gems, but the ring is gold plated, been dipped 3 times in gold for a solid hold.

I love this ring but it really looks like Amythest as I've been collecting Tanzanite for 20 yrs now.Tanzanite this large would normally be set in wht gold not plated because the stone itself would wholesale out for almost 5,000. I would love the setting for another stone I have though.It is very pretty

very nice auction- good luck to you- i love tanzanite- getting harder to find it in the large jewelry stores in the malls nowadays (kays, jcp)- it's said that the mines will be exhausted in about 20 years.
