The listing, OLD HAND CARVED WOODEN MOLD has ended.

I don't know the origin of this mold or it's precise use.it appears to be an intricate representation of a fish and is hand carved.please refer to the last picture where you can see the saw marks.very old,very smooth to the touch and will stand on its own.all listia rules apply

well hello.how nice to hear from you again.I goggled Chinese Moon Cakes and eventually I got to the site that had an extremely similar one.Folks on Amazon really aren't equipped to research every item if they had done in this instance they would have known that cake and bisquit dough wouldn't mold well enough to imprint and would be lost altogether on baking.I know this to be true because I have a beautiful Scotch shortbread mold from a famous fellow in Scotland and boy howdy,I can't get it to come out right.I've been trying for three years and have gone thru tons of recipes.Maybe you have some hints on how to make it come out right.It's the big round wooden mold with a sawtooth edge and it kills me every time I look at it.Thought this am that I would concede defeat and put it up for auction :Dthanks for the info,valuable as always.go safely sheila
