The Royal Red butterfly bush is known to be one of the most attractive Butterfly Bushes to pollinators and provides pollen throughout the summer and fall. Royal Red has a slightly looser habit than Pink Delight and usually does not grow quite as tall. It is however a strong grower and will respond well to a hard cut back in late winter. As with other buddleia, the flower display may be enhanced by pruning it to within a foot in late winter/early spring.
