The listing, Vintage 12k Gold Floating Opal Necklace in Original Box - Free shipping has ended.

This is a vintage snow globe necklace. It has 4 "petals" around a tiny glass globe, The pendant is not marked.

The chain is beautiful, brilliantly shiney, and delicate. The clasp is marked "1/20 12K GF" There's also a symbol of some kind but I can't tell what it is. It measures 18" in length.

The vintage red velvet box says 12 KT GOLD FILLED by TATAMORE OR CATAMARE (I cant read the old English font)

I don't think it's ever been worn. It's in near perfect condition. The liquid in the globe has darkened slightly. It kind of looks like oil now. The flakes still move around. The pendant it'self had an aged patina look so I don't know if the pendant is real gold or not.

The dime is not included. It's in the photo for size comparison.

She is 3 weeks old now and she just made it to 3 lbs yesterday. She's still on the feeding tube but we expect that will be removed in another week or two. Other than being a "micro" preemie and too small to nurse on her own she's perfectly healthy. Klohe Grace is a miracle baby. Thank you for asking.

I have twin granddaughters whose birthstone is opal so I have started trying to collect opal jewelry for them...Of course I might have to wear it first since they are only 5 years old right now.....LOL This would definitely be a conversation piece.

The following was sent to my by a fellow listian and I'm sharing with her permission: Hi, thought I would share a bit of my knowledge on vintage and antique jewelry :), that is actually what is called a floating opal necklace, it is a handblown glass ampule filled with opal chips and oil, very popular in the 30's to 50's, hope this helps :)
