The listing, Fine crochet Doily/Lid?? has ended.

OK I always thought this was a doiily but on the opposite side there is some kind of crochetedlip ging around it. Therefore I think it might be made to use as a bowl lid as the lip could slide over something. The details, work and colors in this item are amazing. It measures about 7 inches across.

My mother was always making things like this. I can crochet but not good. I can make a chain, that's about all.

I've done some blankets and granny square work maybe a few hats but thats it. This is more like tatting which I wish I knew how to do.
