In the end diapers sent are at my discretion, you are simply bidding on 5 (or whatever the bid is at) GUC diapers in any size, shape, or color.

I don't know a lot about cloth diapers, but I am going to try them and was wondering. Do you have the diapers that have inserts and are to fit from birth to like 40 lbs? I have three kids I would like to cloth diaper. I have a 6 year old that is disabled that wears diapers and a 3 year old that only wears diapers to bed and I am having a boy in the end of june. I have to buy so many diapers and I am hoping that cloth will make it easier in the long run since I am on bed rest and not able to work and my fiance is having trouble finding a job. Thank you

I think your thinking of one size diapers. I'm not sure if they will fit your 6 year old, I have lots of one sizes myself and even though they say they will fit up to 40lbs, it really depends on your child and how they are built. If they are tall and skinny you might get away with it but if they and short and chunky you might not have much luck. The good thing is you can often find people willing to make larger diapers for you. I have a friend of mine who makes some amazing diapers, and works with low/no income families. I would definetly ask her if she can work with you for your eldest http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100000317945101 Her name is Samantha, just tell her Jeanette sent you.

One size pocket diapers are pretty cool, they can be snugly wrapped around a newborn or opened up for a toddler. Cloth is ALOT cheaper as well. My original stash, that diapered my son for 2-3 days, was $50. I added a little here, buying used from a parenting forum and making my own (with REALLY basic sewing skills). You don't buy your whole stash in one place, it just grows as your needs change.

My six year old is 32 lbs. She is short and skinny as a rail. My 3 year old is tall and weighs 36lbs. I wrote an email to Jeanette, so I hope to hear from her. With cloth diapers do you have to use an otter diaper pant and if so what type of material is it? I am hoping to win this auction, so I have something to start with.

It is not recommended to use bleach, since it can harm the diapers. Some of my friends add a tablespoon full when washing, but soaking them in bleach will break down the PUL and elastic and can cause irritation. I prefer the 'wet pail method' of having a trashcan in my bathroom with hot water and a squirt or two of antibacterial soap. Of course the pail is in our locked bathroom, were little people can't go unattented ;)

Umeellies3, ecoli is not much of a big problem as long as you wash correctly, thank god ;) (they even did a study on it and concluded "Microbial analysis did not show significant E-coli contamination after form-fitted cloth diapers were used by children under 2 years old and laundered by mothers at home") I usually do a rise cycle, then a wash with a extra rinse at the end, all in HOT water. I also strip the diapers fairly regularly which includes boiling water and dawn soap! If you do have a child that is sick with salmonella, e coli, stomach flu and you are cloth diapering it is encouraged that you would make a temporary switch to disposables or use cloth diapers you don't mind throwing away (eg, cheap prefolds and covers) untill the child is better.
