Is a plastic replacable cover over the front or are the scratches in the picture permanent on it?

Sorry, let me put that all together. This uses a Standard mini/usb 4pin type a charger. You can get one on amazon for $1

If you have and external drive, webcam, camera, any of the sort, the same charger should work with this MP3 player.
